The Startup:
In 1998, Peter joined

While Peter was CEO, GirlGeeks.com's web
traffic, community growth and press interest were so impressive that
acquisition overtures ensued, and smart, supportive Silicon
Valley venture capital was raised. Strategic partnerships with MSN,
Real Media, iVillage, Women.com, Akamai, TalkCity and FatBrain and COMDEX blossomed.

As Chairman, the
company was positioned for merger/acqusition in the e-recruiting
industry as a career success site for professional women in technology
with a clear path to profitability. After the tech market crash, GirlGeeks.com
morphed into GirlGeeks.org, a non-profit program operated by the Bay Area Video Coalion -- BAVC.org. Thanks to the generous support of the Markle Foundation, GirlGeeks.org now continues to operate as a nonprofit educational community resource for all girls and women interested in technology.
